Smile!
As your clock ticks away, don't let things get to you.
Life is not easy, with war, hatred, racism, violence, and the general things not going your way.
Resources are finite, people change, and things just go to shit.
But take heart in the fact that I, and many other people, care for you.
Take heart in the cool secrets the night air whispers in your ear.
Take heart in the magic of stopping, closing your eyes, and breathing.
Take heart in yummy food,
In your favorite song,
In painting, in writing, in singing, in dancing.
Paint yourself in any medium you choose,
Uncensored and raw, let yourself be who you are.
Surround yourself in you, and cherish the fact that life holds many opportunities,
Both to fly and to fall,
And that living is experiencing both.
Darkness always gives way to light, and most of life's worries are quite trite.
Hearts will be broken, tests failed, and friends lost,
And they will all extract from you some sort of cost,
But don't let that drain you of all of your essence,
You're young and beautiful and wonderful, fill the world with you presence.
Take heart in the fact that I'm writing this for you,
Take heart in the flowers, in the birds and their songs,
Take heart in the magic that is life.
Take heart in the wonders that uncertainty has to offer.
Take heart in your worries and know that if you didn't have anything to worry about,
You might not be human.
Take heart and smile,
Because life is too short to only bless the world once and a while.
