Sunset tears and waves of confusion collide on the horizon,
Makeshift comfort statements fall flat
And are devoured by the self-doubting tide.
For once I don't know what to do, what to say,
But I just try to hang on.

Words dissapate upon leaving my tongue,
And quick witty quips turn stale
