Chilled from Oakland hills,
Air creeps down into my sleeves
And makes me miss you.


Only a few days, and I'm missing you.
Like I said,
It was an intense week.
5:30 talks,
Thanksgiving cards,
And the feel of your hand
Smother me in comfort.
My fears and insecurites come out,
And I know that you should be with someone better.
I pulled out all the big guns,
Red flags,
And Surgeon General's warnings,
Cuz we both know I'm hazardous to your health,
But yet you stay.
6 days of absence going on 7
Grate my nerves,
Yet you are more than understanding,
And your patience bludgeons me as an undeserved gift.
I dropped you once, but
That's a mistake I won't
Make again.
